Rama Suresh\, the Artistic Director of Mythili Dance Academy\, directs the dance musical. Tickets are now on sale here.\n\n \n\n"This year's event tells the story of a passionate Indian folktale full of unrequired love\, temptation\, sorrow\, and redemption\," said Rama Suresh. "The production is truly a community event\, as it features dancers from all over Central Illinois and features dancers from Dallas\, Texas in many different styles. It is complete with bright and vibrant costumes\, creative choreography\, and fantastic music. This year\, we are proud to help raise funds to benefit the Center for Prevention of Abuse so they can continue providing crucial services in our community for abuse survivors."\n\n \n\nThis captivating show will feature more than 120 local and national dancers in a variety of Indian dance styles\, including classical\, folk\, Bollywood\, and contemporary\, and fusion dance styles with Chinese\, Middle Eastern\, and ballet dances. The program features dancers come from Mythili Dance Academy\, Cornerstone Ballet\, Springfield Chinese Association\, Peoria Chinese Association\, and Zakira's Mediterranean Dance Academy\; Dallas.\n\n \n\n"We are excited to partner with The Caterpillar Asian Indian Community and Mythili Dance Academy for this incredible performance event\," said Carol Merna\, Executive Director of the Center for Prevention of Abuse. "We know that abuse can happen to anyone of any race\, any religion\, any background\, any socioeconomic status\, any age\, and at any walk of life. This event will help us to raise funds and awareness of our free and confidential services for all people in Central Illinois seeking to live in peace. Nearly 90 cents from every dollar raised for CFPA goes directly to client services."\n\n \n\nTickets for adults are $30 and tickets for children younger than 12 years old are $20.\n\n \n\nThis is the third time CAIC and MDA have put together a performance event to benefit a Central Illinois not-for-profit.
