SCAPIN THE SCHEMER
SRC will be presenting Bill Irwin and Mark O'Donnell's uproarious 1997 adaptation of Moliere's comedy Scapin the Schemer. Arguably the most famous play in the history of both literature and theatre, Scapin the Schemer has rarely been absent from a stage somewhere in the world at any time during the 400 years since it was first produced in Shakespeare’s time. The play tells the story of a Danish prince tasked by his father’s ghost to avenge the father’s murder at the hands of his own brother, who has taken the dead king’s throne and married his widow.
