Director of Development
Ministry Position | Part-Time | Faith-Based | Pro-Life Mission
Spoon River Pregnancy Center is seeking a Director of Development who is passionate about life-affirming ministry and committed to Christian and Biblical values. This role is vital to advancing our mission of supporting families and empowering women through compassionate care and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
· Fundraising Strategy & Execution Develop and implement a comprehensive operating plan for community-based fundraising and development efforts.
· Lead Signature Campaigns Oversee current fundraising initiatives, including:
1. Fall Banquet
2. Spring Walk for Life
3. Monthly Donor Campaign
4. Baby Bottle Campaign
5. Fill the Pak-n-Play (church partnerships)
Additional Duties
· Serve as an Advocate, offering support aligned with our mission
· Manage Purchasing (online and in-store)
· Perform Data Entry in Ekyros (limited)
Schedule
· Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
· Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours required during fundraising seasons
Ideal Candidate
· Holds and lives out Christian and Pro-Life values
· Has experience in fundraising, event planning, and donor relations
· Communicates with clarity, compassion, and professionalism
· Thrives in a collaborative, faith-centered environment
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and stewardship, especially in faith-based or nonprofit settings
· Experience engaging with church communities, including outreach to pastors, ministry leaders, and congregations
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Strong organizational and time management skills to balance events, outreach, and administrative tasks
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for donor correspondence, promotional materials, and public speaking
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively, showing initiative, reliability, and spiritual sensitivity
