Our growing, medically oriented optometric practice is seeking a full-time Optician to join our team. We are committed to continually improving and expanding our services while placing the highest priority on an exceptional patient experience.
We are a growing optometric practice with two locations. We offer 4-day work weeks, no weekends, and offer medical insurance as well as a SIMPLE IRA plan.
You will be asked to accurately and professionally:
*Deliver excellent patient interactions and customer service
*Assist and educate patients on frame selection, lens styles, and lens coatings based on lifestyle and visual needs
* Accurately measure bridge and eye size, temple length, pupillary distance, and optical centers
*Perform expert eyewear repairs and adjustments
*Dispense eyeglasses and instruct patients on proper wear and care
*Manage electronic patient records and process optical orders
*Verify and inspect finished lenses received from labs
*Calculate patient balances and co-pays and post payments accurately
*Verify, submit, and bill vision insurance as appropriate
*Manage contact lens orders
*Instruct patients on contact lens insertion and removal
*Verify availability with labs and frame companies
*Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dispensary
*Open and close the dispensary as scheduled
While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person that exhibits exceptional customer service and a commitment to patient care.
